  • EARLY LIFE

     Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born on 7th July,1981 in Ranchi and hails from the Hindu Rajput family. His father’s name is Pan Sing Dhoni and Mother’s name is Devaki Devi. Elder brother Narendra Singh Dhoni, Elder Sister Jayanti Gupta. His Father worked as a pump operator in junior management position in MECON Colony situated in Doranda area in Ranchi. In first Mahendra Singh Dhoni was a goal keeper for his DAV J Jawahar Vidya Mandir School’s football team, but after seeing his goal keeping skills, coach Keshav Ranjan Banerjee, one who inspired Dhoni to be a cricketer, picked him to play cricket fors school’s team. His wicket keeping skills allowed him to become the regular wicketkeeper at commando cricket club i(1995-1998). Dhoni showed impressive wicket-keeping skills at the commando Cricket club during 1995-1998 and was picked up for Vino mankad Trophy Under-16 Championship for the 1997-1998 session and played well. After Completion of his High Schooling , Dhoni Focused on cricket. Dhoni’s performance in the2002-2003 season included 3 half centuries in the Ranji Trophy and 2 hlf centuries in the Deodhar Trophy.

     CAREER 

    In 1998, Mahendra Singh was selected for the Central Coal Fields Limited (CCL) team. Once he got gift of RS 50 when Dhoni Played in Sheesh Mahal tournament cricket match and hit six. In 1999 he got selected in senior Bihar Ranji Team at the age of 18. Later he was selected for East Zone U-19 Squad for the CK Nayudu Trophy. In 2002-03, while playing in the Jharkhand team for Ranji Trophy, Dhoni gained recognition for his lower order contribution as well as hard hitting batting style. In the Dulip Trophy Finals , Mahendra Singh Dhoni was picked over international cricketer Deep Dasgupta to represent EastZone. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was spotted by the Prakash Poddar who sent a report to the national Cricket academy. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was selected for the India A team for a tour of Zimbabwe and Kenya. He Scored 362 runs in the innings with an average of 72.0. His excellent performance receive the attention then captain of the Indian Cricket team Sourav Ganguli, Ravi Shastri…..etc .Dhoni had played many matches and won many many rewards for the india .Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from the test on December 30 2014.Under the captainship of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in 2007 World Cup. India crashed out of the world cup after the losses to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the group stage. After losing the Bangladesh World Cup in 2007 ,the Dhoni house was damaged by the political activities of JMM. The local Police of Ranchi arranged for the security for his family as India exited the world cup in the first round. Mahendra Singh was Disappointed from the performance in the world cup after scoring the 91 run against Bangladesh.
