Early Life
Draupadi Murmu Was born on 20th June,1958 in Baidaposi, village of Mayurganj district (Odisha) . The Father’s name of Draupadi Murmu was Late Biranchi Narayan Tudu. Both Birnachi Narayan Tudu and his Grandfather were the headman of the village under Panchyati Raj System. Draupadi Murmu got married with the Shyam Charan Murmu and they had two sons, both of whom died and a daughter. Earlier Draupadi Murmu started as a teacher before come into the politics.
Career
After came into the politics she joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Draupadi Murmu was elected as the councilor of the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat ,1997. When she joined the Bhartiya Janta Party and Biju Dal coalition government in Odisha . She Was the first woman Governor of Jharkhand in July 2015.In 2022 Draupadi Murmu is picked as the National Democratic Alliance’s Candidate for President for India for 2022 election.
Draupadi Murmu worked as an honorary assistant professor in Shri Aurobindo Integral Education and research , Rairagpur and then as a junior Assistant in the irrigation Department of Odisha .
She was appointed to the district presidential chair of the party for Mayurbhanj district in 2013.

BJP picked the Draupadi Murmu as the National Democratic alliance candidate for president of India for the election 2022.

Draupadi Murmu won by overwhelming margin against Sinha after receiving over 64 per cent valid votes in a day-long counting of ballots of MPs and MLAs , comprising the election college , to the country's 15th president.
